The French Army supply UGVs

 

An over 30 millions euros contract ECA Group to supply UGVs, Unmanned Ground Vehicles, to French Ministry of Armed Forces.

 

 

    CEFA, ECA Group and SCOPEX were awarded a major contract for SMINEX tender released by DGA, French Defence Procurement Agency, for the technology qualification, supply and maintenance of complete EOD and C-IED Equipment Solution. This equipment is dedicated to search, detection, analysis and neutralization of IED (Improvised Explosives Devices) or UXO (UneXploded Ordnance).

     SMINEX, Systèmes Mobiles d’Intervention pour les EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), is the first project relative to EOD equipment with a global approach in an integrated system (individual protection suits, hanheld detectors, X-Ray systems, water cannon, Unmaned Ground Vehicles (UGV), etc).

     Within the scope of this contract, ECA Group will supply the French Armed Forces with ground robots UGV IGUANA E and provide its expertise in integrated robotic systems.
