The 20 mm remotely operated gun Narwhal

 

Gabonese Forces have chosen Nexter Systems Narwhal gun.

 

 

     The Gabonese Republic has chosen Nexter Systems to equip its four RaidCo RPB20 express-cruiser patrol boats with the 15A naval mounts, and its future ocean-going patrol boat, ordered on 29 October 2014 from the Piriou dockyard.

     These weapon systems, based on the 20 M 621 cannon, will enable the Gabonese navy to protect Gabonese national waters and effectively combat piracy.

     Narwhal system is easy to install on any types of ships: fast craft, patrol boat, Offshore Patrol Vessel, frigate and logistic ship. Narwhal is remotely operated, stabilized and has its sophisticated optronic day / night and a target auto-tracking capability.
